Remake The World Once Again?

On July 24th, 2008 Senator Obama gave a speech to the citizens of Berlin, Germany titled
"A World that Stands as One".

One of his first lines included the phrase that he was speaking as a proud fellow citizen of the world. So is he making a comment that some of us poor slobs are not citizens of the world? Or that we are not proud of being a citizen of the world? I thought we all lived on the same planet we call the world. That being the case then why this line, 'proud fellow citizen of the world?" Where the blazes does he think the rest of us are from? Kenya?

Obama went on the say that he didn't look like the other Americans that have spoken there. What? What is so different about him? Oh, I get it. He must be talking about his big ears. Or maybe it's the fact that he is tall. This guy is nuts. What a strange thing to say. His next line helped me understand what makes him look so different. His grandfather was a servant to the British. So his comment about looking different was really about his race, Arabs.

The fact that his grandfather was a servant to the British might have something to do with the way he treated the Prime Minister of Great Britain when he was here. Obama did not fly the flag of Great Britain and he gave the Prime Minister a basket of videos as a gift. Hardly a gift a president should give to our alie Great Britain.

Obama talked about his father's dream that required the freedom and the opportunity that America promised. What was his father's dream? Is that Obama's dream? I haven't read his book about his father's dream but I see that Obama is taking that same freedom and opportunity that was given to his father and to him away from American citizens. Obama is trying to enslave the American people the same way his grandfather was enslaved. He says his grandfather was a servant. Now he is making American servants and stealing the future of our people and our children by signing the spending bills. Isn't it funny how everything he says is just the opposite. No matter what he says you can turn it around 180 degrees and that's what he means. If he stood sideways at the edge of a mirror he would see the opposite of himself. That is what I do when I hear him speak. Every word is to be deciphered sideways.

The next troubling line Obama speaks is, "...
West, America, Britain, and France took stock of their losses, and pondered how the world might be remade." Is this true? Did America, Britain, and France think of how the world could be remade?

This next phrase sounds like he is asking the world to become one.

"...there is no challenge too great for a world that stands as one."

"History has led us to a new crossroad, with new promise and new peril. "

What is the new promise? What is the new peril?

" the 21st has revealed a world more intertwined than at any time in human history."

This is true. The world is more intertwined than ever. That does not mean that the world should come together and be as one like the John Lennon song.

"The fall of the Berlin Wall brought new hope. But that very closeness has given rise to new dangers - dangers that cannot be contained within the borders of a country or by the distance of an ocean."

Here he again is saying there are new dangers. Is he talking about war? There has always been war. There has always been someone who wants total control of everything and everyone. What the blazes is he talking about "new dangers"? Dangers that can't be contained within borders of countries? or by the distance of an ocean? The fall of the Berlin Wall didn't bring about these dangers, did it? I thought the fall of the Berlin Wall freed people and united a city.

"As we speak, cars in Boston and factories in Beijing are melting the ice caps in the Arctic, shrinking coastlines in the Atlantic, and bringing drought to farms from Kansas to Kenya."

Maybe this is the new danger, the new peril? Cars and factories are the new threat.

"In this new world, such dangerous currents have swept along faster than our efforts to contain them. That is why we cannot afford to be divided. No one nation, no matter how large or powerful, can defeat such challenges alone. None of us can deny these threats, or escape responsibility in meeting them."

We have a "new world" with new dangers, new perils. Cars and factories are the new danger and new peril to the new world. The cars and factories are the dangerous currents. That is why we need to be one nation. We can't afford to be divided if we do away with cars and factories. It's going to take the whole world to defeat the challenge of the car and the factories. Obama says that no one can deny the threats that cars and factories pose and we can't escape our responsibility to defeat them.

"And if we're honest with each other, we know that sometimes, on both sides of the Atlantic, we have drifted apart, and forgotten our shared destiny."

Would Obama please tell me, or someone, what the shared destiny is? We drifted apart? When was that? Was that World War I, World War II, Vietnam, Iraq, or any of the wars when we "drifted" apart? Drifted? When were we all together that we could "drift" apart? Shared Destiny? Our shared destiny is that we live on the same planet, we breath the same air, and now thanks to the DumbocRATS we share the same failing economy because of bad housing loans. Is Obama trying to talk the world into sharing economies, and sharing a like currency? Personally, I think he and others are trying to help the world economy fail so he can force us into a "shared destiny."

"In Europe, the view that America is part of what has gone wrong in our world, rather than a force to help make it right, has become all too common. In America, there are voices that deride and deny the importance of Europe's role in our security and our future."

Can you like, spit on me? Just spit on America. Don't go to Germany and tell them how nice we are, or how our country has helped so many other countries with rebuilding and with food and hundreds of other things. Go to Germany and spit on America. Thanks Mr. Oh'bama. I think that your voice is the one to deride and deny the importance of America.

"... the burdens of global citizenship continue to bind us together. A change of leadership in Washington will not lift this burden. In this new century, Americans and Europeans alike will be required to do more - not less. Partnership and cooperation among nations is not a choice; it is the one way, the only way, to protect our common security and advance our common humanity."

The burdens of global citizenship bind us together? Burdens? Are you saying that America will have to be burdened with a global government? Americans will be required to do more of what? Pay more? Like the trillions of dollars you and your congress have just burdened us with? We don't have a choice? If the world becomes one then who do we fight against for our common security? If we are all one then who is the enemy? Me thinks the enemy is the one making the speech.

"That is why the greatest danger of all is to allow new walls to divide us from one another."

"The walls between old allies on either side of the Atlantic cannot stand. The walls between the countries with the most and those with the least cannot stand. The walls between races and tribes; natives and immigrants; Christian and Muslim and Jew cannot stand. These now are the walls we must tear down."

The walls between the countries with the most and those with the least cannot stand? So what is he going to do? It's clear he wants to share the wealth of America and Europe with all the poorest countries. The world has always been divided into countries. The countries who have embraced capitalism and Christianity have been the richest. Those countries that have embraced socialism and communism have been the poorest. Now you want to take from the capitalists and give to the communists? I have a word for you, go back to Kenya. Go tear down the walls there. The walls between the Muslim and the Christian won't be torn down. Muslims want to rule the earth with its religion and kill all Christians, capitalists, Whites, Jews, and anyone else that is not Muslim.

"So history reminds us that walls can be torn down. But the task is never easy. True partnership and true progress requires constant work and sustained sacrifice. They require sharing the burdens of development and diplomacy; of progress and peace. They require allies who will listen to each other, learn from each other and, most of all, trust each other."

Constant work, sustained sacrifice. Now that sounds like fun. Americans already work constantly. Sustained sacrifice? How about all of our men and young men who go off to war and sacrifice their lives for our country. We have sustained more sacrifice for others than any other country.

" Now is the time to build new bridges across the globe as strong as the one that bound us across the Atlantic. Now is the time to join together, through constant cooperation, strong institutions, shared sacrifice, and a global commitment to progress, to meet the challenges of the 21st century." " And this is the moment when our nations - and all nations - must summon that spirit anew."

Obama wants us to build new bridges across the globe? Now we have a $900 million bridge to help Palestinian people in Gaza. Do you think that money will be used to make bombs to strike Israel?

"Secretary of State Hillary Clinton announced Monday that the U.S. offered more than $900 million to help Palestinian people, specifically those in Gaza."

"This is the moment when we must defeat terror and dry up the well of extremism that supports it. This threat is real and we cannot shrink from our responsibility to combat it. If we could create NATO to face down the Soviet Union, we can join in a new and global partnership to dismantle the networks that have struck in Madrid and Amman; in London and Bali; in Washington and New York. If we could win a battle of ideas against the communists, we can stand with the vast majority of Muslims who reject the extremism that leads to hate instead of hope."

Are those Muslims who reject extremism the same ones who are trying to make their laws the law of the land in Europe? Are they the same ones who are setting up mosques in American cities? An estimated 400,000 Muslims live in the Chicago area, home to about 90 mosques, according to the Council on American-Islamic Relations.

According to Daniel Pipes, "In June 1991, Siraj Wahaj, a black convert to Islam and the recipient of some of the American Muslim community's highest honors, had the privilege of becoming the first Muslim to deliver the daily prayer in the U.S. House of Representatives. On that occasion he recited from the Qur'an and appealed to the Almighty to guide American leaders "and grant them righteousness and wisdom."

"A little over a year later, addressing an audience of New Jersey Muslims, the same Wahaj articulated a rather different vision from his mild and moderate invocation in the House. If only Muslims were more clever politically, he told his New Jersey listeners, they could take over the United States and replace its constitutional government with a caliphate. "If we were united and strong, we'd elect our own emir [leader] and give allegiance to him. . . . [T]ake my word, if 6-8 million Muslims unite in America, the country will come to us." In 1995, Wahaj served as a character witness for Omar Abdel Rahman in the trial that found that blind sheikh guilty of conspiracy to overthrow the government of the United States. More alarming still, the U.S. attorney for New York listed Wahaj as one of the "unindicted persons who may be alleged as co-conspirators" in the sheikh's case."

"This is the moment ...my country and yours have a stake in seeing that NATO's first mission beyond Europe's borders is a success. For the people of Afghanistan, and for our shared security, the work must be done. America cannot do this alone. The Afghan people need our troops and your troops; our support and your support to defeat the Taliban and al Qaeda, to develop their economy, and to help them rebuild their nation. We have too much at stake to turn back now."

Why is Oh'Bama so interested in the development of other countries and their economy and he can't think about what is going on in our stock market? What's wrong with rebuilding American and let the other nations rebuild their own nation?

What is NATO's first mission? The Afghan people need our troops, our support, our money, to help them develop their economy, to help them rebuild their nation, to help them defeat the Taliban and al Qaeda.

NATO's..."challenge is to nurture stable and democratic societies by integrating the Balkans into Euro-Atlantic institutions."

"NATO in 2003 added vital new military capabilities that will revolutionize our strategic reach. On Dec. 1, NATO inaugurated the new Czech-led chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear battalion designed to safeguard our civilian populations from a weapons of mass destruction attack."

"On Oct. 15, the alliance launched the new NATO Response Force, which will give NATO for the first time in its history a quick-reaction force for hostage-rescue, peace interventions and combat operations far from Europe." by R. Nicholas Burns

"This is the moment when we must renew the goal of a world without nuclear weapons." "...we need not stand idly by and watch the further spread of the deadly atom. It is time to secure all loose nuclear materials; to stop the spread of nuclear weapons; and to reduce the arsenals from another era. This is the moment to begin the work of seeking the peace of a world without nuclear weapons."

Is the atom really deadly? 14% of the world's electricity came from nuclear power. More than 150 nuclear-powered naval vessels have been built, and a few radioisotope rockets have been produced. France produces the highest percentage of its electrical energy from nuclear reactors—78% as of 2006.

"This is the moment when every nation in Europe must have the chance to choose its own tomorrow free from the shadows of yesterday. In this century, we need a strong European Union that deepens the security and prosperity of this continent, while extending a hand abroad. In this century - in this city of all cities - we must reject the Cold War mind-set of the past, and resolve to work with Russia when we can, to stand up for our values when we must, and to seek a partnership that extends across this entire continent."

"This is the moment when we must build on the wealth that open markets have created, and share its benefits more equitably. Trade has been a cornerstone of our growth and global development. But we will not be able to sustain this growth if it favors the few, and not the many. Together, we must forge trade that truly rewards the work that creates wealth, with meaningful protections for our people and our planet. This is the moment for trade that is free and fair for all."

"This is the moment ... for a new dawn in the Middle East."

"This is the moment when we must come together to save this planet. Let us resolve that we will not leave our children a world where the oceans rise and famine spreads and terrible storms devastate our lands. Let us resolve that all nations - including my own - will act with the same seriousness of purpose as has your nation, and reduce the carbon we send into our atmosphere. This is the moment to give our children back their future. This is the moment to stand as one. "

"And this is the moment when we must give hope to those left behind in a globalized world. "

Ya, give our American children back their future by reversing all those pork bills just passed in the congress and senate. You care more about the rest of the world than you do America.

"... this moment. Will we extend our hand to the people in the forgotten corners of this world who yearn for lives marked by dignity and opportunity; by security and justice? Will we lift the child in Bangladesh from poverty, shelter the refugee in Chad, and banish the scourge of AIDS in our time? "

He wants to give money to people in Bangladesh to get rid of poverty. He wants to build homes in Chad. He wants to cure Aids. Where is he going to get all this money? How will he distribute all this money all over the world? I suspect he will get the money from America, and from the "rich" European Countries.

"Will we stand for the human rights of the dissident in Burma, the blogger in Iran, or the voter in Zimbabwe? Will we give meaning to the words "never again" in Darfur?"

What about the human rights of Joe the plumber? He had a right to ask a simple question and when he did he was investigated like a common criminal. His privacy was invaded. The news media treated him like an idiot for asking a question. What about the human rights of Sarah Palin? She was treated like so much garbage by the news media. The only one not questioned or given any scrutiny was Obama.

"Will we acknowledge that there is no more powerful example than the one each of our nations projects to the world? Will we reject torture and stand for the rule of law? Will we welcome immigrants from different lands, and shun discrimination against those who don't look like us or worship like we do, and keep the promise of equality and opportunity for all of our people?"

What kind of example did Obama project to the world when he showed the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland such disrespect. Obama decided that he wasn't going to have a joint press conference with the Prime Minister. He also decided that there wouldn't be any British flags in the press conference, and when they met there wouldn't be a British flag. Then to add insult to injury he gave the Prime Minister a gift of a basket of videos. These videos were not even of the same technology used in Great Britain. President Obama returned a bronze bust of Winston Churchill that had, since 9/11, been on loan as a symbol of the Special Relationship from the British Government to the United States.

The Prime Minister gave Obama a wooden pen holder made from an old ship, the HMS Resolute. The story of this old ship is long and needs research before any comment can be made here. The Prime Minister also gave the president a first edition of Sir Martin Gilbert’s authorized biography of Churchill, all seven volumes.

"People of Berlin - people of the world - this is our moment. This is our time"

"I know my country has not perfected itself. At times, we've struggled to keep the promise of liberty and equality for all of our people. We've made our share of mistakes, and there are times when our actions around the world have not lived up to our best intentions."

America has not lived up to its best intentions? What are you talking about? No talking down America here. Just trashing her totally. Thanks Mr.

"But I also know how much I love America. I know that for more than two centuries, we have strived - at great cost and great sacrifice - to form a more perfect union; to seek, with other nations, a more hopeful world. Our allegiance has never been to any particular tribe or kingdom - indeed, every language is spoken in our country; every culture has left its imprint on ours; every point of view is expressed in our public squares. What has always united us - what has always driven our people; what drew my father to America's shores - is a set of ideals that speak to aspirations shared by all people: that we can live free from fear and free from want; that we can speak our minds and assemble with whomever we choose and worship as we please."

So you love America? We are still waiting to hear about the good America has done. We are still waiting for you to say good things that America is. We're waiting.

" It is because of these aspirations that all free people - everywhere - became citizens of Berlin. It is in pursuit of these aspirations that a new generation - our generation - must make our mark on the world."

I'm not a citizen of Berlin. If so where are my citizenship papers? What is he talking about? What mark is he wanting the citizens of Berlin to make on the world?

"People of Berlin - and people of the world - the scale of our challenge is great. The road ahead will be long."

No doubt it will be long if he gets what he wants. He's ruining the economy by signing all the pork bills that have been written and passed by the democratic congress.

"But I come before you to say that we are heirs to a struggle for freedom. We are a people of improbable hope. With an eye toward the future, with resolve in our hearts, let us remember this history, and answer our destiny, and remake the world once again."

Remake the world once again? What? When was it remade the first time? Who remade it? Are you talking about Napoleon? Do you want to conquer the whole world like Napoleon? How do you want to remake the world? If I understand this speech you want to take from the rich countries and give it to the poor countries. America has helped many nations around the world. Are you asking us to cough up all of our money, all of our best military personel, all of our best and go to the rest of the world and build it up? Your tearing down America to build up Bangladesh, Chad, Kiev Ukraine to Cape Town? Thanks but no thanks. If you want that then pay for it yourself.
