Rick Santorum in OKC

I attended the Santorum rally this afternoon at the capitol. The weather was beautiful, in the 70s. All was well until I heard a woman talking really loud and with a very determined look on her face. Santorum hadn't even arrived and there were people in the group of about 500 who seemed out of place. I don't understand why people don't respect other's right to gather and hear a speaker who may be the next president. If you don't agree, go have your own rally with someone you agree with. One of the men had on a Obama/Biden button. I found that Bazaar. Why are you at a rally for a different candidate than the one you support? Is it to listen to the other candidate speak and try to make a decision? Or were these people there to disrupt and keep other people from hearing? I found out the answer after Santorum started speaking. These loud, disrespectful, ill-mannered, foul-mouthed, boisterous, angry, bitter, pitiful pieces of humanity were there to prevent others from hearing. I wondered if they had mothers and if so why didn't she teach them respect for themselves and others?

There were two young men standing in front of me until all the shouting started. Then they seemed to disappear. While they stood in front of me they were talking to each other. I watched one of the young man's mouth when he spoke to try to figure out what he was saying. There was some sort of sticky substance in his mouth. It looked awful. I feel certain the young man with dark hair in a black tee-shirt at the far left in the photo above is one of the young men who was standing in front of me. I saw the photos when I got home. Now I understand why he would turn around and glare at me when I told one of the protesters, "Go home, we came to listen to the candidate not you."

Here is a link of a video of the protesters on Fox News. They did include some of the supporters too. Thank you Fox News in Oklahoma City for not making the protesters the news. Too bad they didn't interview the candidate too but maybe he declined because he was leaving to go to another city in Oklahoma.

Katie Fretland was there taking notes with her little note pad. She was interviewing the supporters and getting their phone numbers. So how is it that the report below doesn't resemble in any way what the supporters said? In this article Katie only states what the protesters said.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Supporters and protesters greeted GOP presidential hopeful Rick Santorum during a return visit to Oklahoma two days before the Super Tuesday primary. About 200 supporters were on hand Sunday afternoon as Santorum spoke on the steps of the state Capitol. But so were about 25 activists from Occupy Oklahoma, who drowned out Santorum soon after he began to speak. When Santorum asked supporters for a "big win" at the polls on Tuesday in Oklahoma, Occupy Oklahoma activists screamed "mic check" and then "Get your hate out of my state" and "Racist, sexist, anti-gay, zealot, fascist, go away." As they yelled, Santorum supporters shouted "we pick Rick" until Santorum was barely audible. Santorum was scheduled to visit Broken Arrow Sunday night, concluding his second visit to the state in a month.

I just found another AP story by Katie Fretland titled: Obama or McCain better barbecue guest? It was posted by Swamp Politics. Katie Fretland is such a great political writer that she writes about barbecue sauce, trying to make big political predictions about who would vote for whom. Who cares about barbecue when the country is about to go under?

In a contest of who would be the more popular guest at a summer barbecue, Barack Obama beats John McCain by 52 percent to 45 percent, according to an Associated Press/Yahoo! News poll just released.

Here's hoping the American Public will get their selves to the polls and vote for a future. I'm hoping and praying to God we will be rid of the plight we have now.

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14

  1. Seriously? Using BBQ as a metric for candidates? She didn't even bother asking which one God likes more
